A goalkeeper's goalkeeper — with over 25 years of experience in Indian football as both a professional player and a coach. A former I-League goalkeeper, Praveen competed at the highest level of Indian club football before transitioning into elite coaching. Born and raised in Kerala, India's most football-passionate state, Praveen brought his craft to the highest levels of the national game.
As a former national-level goalkeeper, Praveen represented prestigious clubs including Air India Mumbai, ONGC Mumbai, Churchill Brothers SC Goa, Vasco SC Goa, and Titanium FC Kerala, and competed for both the Kerala and Maharashtra state teams in the coveted Santosh Trophy — India's national football championship.
His coaching career spans Mumbai City FC — one of India's top ISL clubs — coaching across U-13 to U-18 / Development squads in the Maharashtra State League, AIFF Junior & Youth Leagues, and RFDL (2022–2026). He also served as GK Coach at Ambernath United FC in the 2nd Division I-League, and coached the Mumbai District Women's Team.
He was handpicked to train actors in football skills and goalkeeping for Bollywood's acclaimed 2024 film Maidaan (Ajay Devgn) — and holds the prestigious AFC GK Coaching Licence Level-2.
